We went cherry picking at Leona Valley. had fun picking cherries right from the dwarf cherry trees. Found around 11 different varieties of cherries.

June 9/Day 160 - The Metro

It is the last week of college and I wanted to post a few pictures taken around the campus. This picture was taken from a bridge over the busway three storeys high. You can see the metro rapid buses(the buses I take to reach college) on the left and the train tracks on the right.

This picture of Los Angeles Downtown was taken on my way to college, while waiting for a bus one evening. It was my last day of school and I had to take this picture!

It was the memorial day long weekend and we had friends over. Spend the day along the trails in Hollywood. These were the flowers in some random wild shrub along the trail.

I have been posting way too many strawberry pictures here. Hopefully this will be the last one! Again, taken at the Strawberry fields in Pomona, California.

May 28/Day 148 - Strawberry Picking

 We are lucky to get juicy, ripe strawberries throughout the year at farmer's markets here in Southern California. Some farms allow you to come in to the strawberry fields, pluck them straight from the strawberry plant and enjoy to your heart's content. You could also take them back home along with you. We had a great time at the strawberry patch during the weekend, plucking and eating strawberries!

May 5/day 125 - Spiderman!

Taken at the Sony Pictures Studios at Culver City. This studio is located a mile away from home and I went on a studio tour along with my friend M where we got to see actual movie sets and stuff used in movies. A fun day it was!

April 27/Day 117 - Mesob at an Ethiopian Restaurant

A Mesob is a tabletop on which food is traditionally served. The mesob is usually woven from straw, and it has a lid that is kept on it until it is time to eat. When the food is ready, the top is taken off the mesob, and the food is placed in the basin which forms the top of the mesob. An injera (made usinf teff flour) is placed in the mesob and the various dishes are served on top of the injera.

A great foodie experience it was! This picture was taken at an Ethiopian restaurant located in Little Ethiopia in Los Angeles.

This picture was taken at the Sony Pictures Studios. The bike displayed was actually featured in the movie "Ghostbusters"

April 23/Day 113 - The Hollywood Trail

 These pictures were taken during a hike near the Hollywood sign. It was a clear day and we were able to get a clear view of LA Downtown. The weather was perfect and we had a great time!

April 22/Day 112 - Riding the Metro

I take the Metro bus once or twice a week to college. The buses are usually crowded. This picture was taken on a day when the bus was almost empty and when I was playing around with my phone - The colorful seats found in every Metro bus in LA!
