June 26/Day 177 - Fresh from my balcony

Fresh thai basil plant from my balcony, which I got from the farmer's market a few months back. Made this fresh picnic sandwich using these basil leaves.

May 25/Day 145 - Spring produce from the market!

I could not resist buying this box of strawberries which were so fresh and juicy from our local farmer's market. I also bought four of these little plants to add to my little balcony garden. From the left clockwise, husk cherry tomatoes, thai chillies, japanese eggplant and thai basil.

The first shop at the farmer's market is always a vendor with all types of small potted plants and herbs for the season. This picture reminds me that it is time to plant my herbs.

Tuesday is here! So comes the farmer's market! Most fruit stalls have samples in front of their stalls to offer samples and lure customers. One such stand with samples. The fruits vary with seasonal change. Here you can find varieties of apples, pears, tangerines and oranges.

Feb 27/Day 58 - What color do you choose?

We have farmer's market in my area every tuesday evening. Happened to stroll through the market yesterday and these beautifully colored potatoes caught my attention!
