Day 21 - Sister Cities of Los Angeles

I captured the following picture on my way to college in Downtown Los Angeles. Standing near the post, I was 8710 miles away from Mumbai. Interesting right?

Day 20 - Why I want to be a pilot?

 

WHY I WANT TO BE A PILOT

• When I grow up I want to be a pilot because it's a fun job and easy to do. That's why there are so many pilots flying around these days.
• Pilots don't need much school. They just have to learn to read numbers so they can read their instruments.
• I guess they should be able to read a road map, too.
• Pilots should be brave to they won't get scared it it's foggy and they can't see, or if a wing or motor falls off.
• Pilots have to have good eyes to see through the clouds, and they can't be afraid of thunder or lightning because they are much closer to them than we are.
• The salary pilots make is another thing I like. They make more money than they know what to do with. This is because most people think that flying a plane is dangerous, except pilots don't because they know how easy it is.
• I hope I don't get airsick because I get carsick and if I get airsick, I couldn't be a pilot and then I would have to go to work.

Day 18 - Exams

I am having my comprehensive exam at the end of this month. And I will be tested on all the stuff I have learnt so far in my MBA program! The stack of books I need to browse through before the exam..

Excuse me for the pictures taken around my house. Not having much time to go outside and take pics :( so you will be seeing more pictures from around the house for a while!

Day 17 - Fresh basil plant

My basil plant which adorned our lil herb garden in our balcony. This picture was taken few months back. This did not survive the winter :(

It is getting warmer here in Sunny California and I need to prepare my pots for some sowing in the coming weeks.

Guy Fieri of Food Network fame spray paints a stencil in most of the restaurants featured on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. Here is one of them which I cited at the 'Blue Plate Lunch Counter and Soda Fountain', a restaurant in Portland.

Day 9 - San Fernando Cathedral, San Antonio

A beautiful cathedral we visited during our trip to San Antonio, Texas. This old cathedral was founded in 1731 and is still functioning.

Project 365 - A Photo a Day

Project 365 which has been becoming famous lately is all about posting a photo a day for 365 days of the year. it is a great way to snap your memories and cherish them later.

I am planning to do this Project in order to improve my photography skills and also to put my dSLR into good use.

 

You can expect to see a photograph clicked by me posted daily here. I will try my best to update it regularly or atleast twice a week!
